Paul's Big Day at Basketball!!!

Awesome Basketball Day for Paul!
Paul had his first basketball game for Sugarberry's and while I went with great expectations, I must admit I left with entire different perspective of what the team and true spirit of sports is really all about.
Paul is excellent at making a shot but weak at dribbling and making a shot. His coach has worked with him and truly made a difference in is ability of doing both and as I watch him play I was more proud of him then ever. He has improved to far greater than I could imagine and hope for.
More important was the way the game was played. Both teams supported each other. Winning was not the most important thing. Playing the game was and supporting each, regardless of their disability, was the most important. I don't think any one really knew the final score at the end.
What a pleasure it was to watch the game in a different way and with other families with children with disabilities. We all cheered for everyone, regardless of the team and the outcome did not matter. What a difference our world would be if we practiced the same in everything we did.
Paul, you were outstanding today! I know you enjoyed the call the call from Kendall and Jack. They love you so very much.
Love you,
Ken
